Great 1st Ballgame!

7th and 8th graders--

Excellent job last night! I've already gotten a lot of compliments (even from Dardanelle fans) about your performance. It was probably the smoothest "first game" the middle school band has ever had.

Next week, we WILL be on the field at halftime...bring your tennis shoes to band EVERY DAY from now on, until further notice. We don't need any broken/twisted/sprained ankles!

A few things to remember for games:

-Flip folders and lyres are REQUIRED. You can't play your part without them.

-The uniform is your band shirt, khaki colored PANTS (no shorts), white shoes, white socks, and a belt. Imagine what the football team would look like if they wore whatever they felt like wearing...

-Once we meet at 6:00 p.m., the concession stand is off-limits to you. If you need water, we'll get you some. Remember--we have burgers, chips, and drinks for you at halftime...and they are free!

Next game is Thursday, September 14! It's gonna be fun!

LMS Band T-Shirts - UPDATE

OUR SHIRTS ARE HERE!

If you have paid, you will have your shirt today (9/7) or tomorrow (9/8).

Shirts are $15. We can't pay the bill (to the people who made your shirt) until you do your part and pay for your shirt. Let's take care of this ASAP!

Cookie Dough Fundraiser

Hey everyone--

Our cookie dough fundraiser kicked off this week...middle school is off to a GREAT start already! Proceeds from this fundraiser go to help the band in many ways, including (among many other things) the purchase of music, instruments, and equipment.

Please remember:

1. Don't collect any money right now! Money is collected when you deliver the cookie dough.
2. Don't sell door-to-door! Sell to people you or your parents know.
3. 6th graders--your parents need to fill out and return the permission slip to Mr. Coats or Mr. Carter as soon as possible.

The order forms will be due back on WEDNESDAY, September 13. The cookie dough should be delivered to the school 3-3 1/2 weeks after this date (around the first week of October). Once it is delivered to the school, parents will pick it up, and then deliver it to their customers.

Good luck with your fundraising!
